Pharmacological action of Garcini
Garcinia indica extract is the calcium salt of HCA (Hydroxy Citric Acid) obtained from water extract of Garcinia indica fruit. Exerts following action.
HCA (Hydroxy citric acid) inhibits ATP – citrate lyase enzyme, prevents formation of fat.
Diverts glucose to glycogen formation in liver and muscle.
Increased glycogen activates satiety signals. Controls food intake.
Facilitates utilisation of fat from adipose tissues for energy purpose.
Indications : Obesity and associated disorders.
